Recent developments in information and communication technologies in online learning systems and in use of pedagogical models of delivery of online courses and laboratories require in-depth security analysis on designing, developing, testing, understanding, accessing, processing, storing, and sharing information. Since the importance of security increases all the time because of continuous threats encountered by learning systems, better solutions consisted of new approaches, methods, techniques, technologies, and concepts are required to secure these systems. Therefore, the aim of this special session is to:
- share the current and new research topics in securing online learning systems,
- bring researchers and experts together to discuss and share their experiences about security and forensics on online learning systems including on Learning Management systems and distributed online laboratories,
- enhance personal, enterprise, national and international awareness on securing online learning systems,
- increase the collaboration among university – industry – institutions to develop and design secure LMS frameworks.
This special session invites research articles and/or hands-on demonstrations that address the security perspective on Learning Systems. Papers for this special session should be submitted by May 23, 2021 via the regular paper submission website (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ISDFS2021/).
Papers should not exceed a maximum of 6 pages (including abstract, body, tables, figures, and references), and should be submitted as a pdf in 2-column IEEE format. Detailed instructions for the authors can be found at the conference website. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. All accepted papers must be presented by one of the authors to be published in the conference proceedings.
